Winter

Aspen (aka Winter) is a special girl looking for a special home. If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to have a puppy sleep on you undisturbed despite loud chaos occurring in your house… look no further. Despite being deaf, she has shown me in the last 3 weeks how smart and eager to learn she is. We have learned sit, lie down, and wait. All with the help of food motivation and hand signals. She has been living in the city of Rochester so she has been trained to walk on a leash well (with another dog) and doing amazing! Crate trained as well, although still requires a pee pad left for her at this time as she is still getting the hang of holding her tiny bladder. Potty training has been going well despite said tiny bladder but she will still need lots of positive reinforcement and work going forward. She also has been having the time of her life playing with my large dog (65lb pit bull) and many other fun adventures playing with small dogs of my coworkers. I also have a cat who she has a playful banter with and has quickly learned the proper manners of how to interact with a cat when you are a dog. I have several nephews and nieces who she has been able to play with who loved her dearly and she was extremely gentle with. In short, despite her not being able to hear, she is a wonderful, smart, gentle, cuddly little soul that deserves the best home in the world. She will make an incredible addition to any family.
