We believe him to be half coonhound and half lab. Winston is... High Energy Crate & Potty Trained Kid Friendly Dog friendly (AFTER a slow intro) His biggest areas of opportunity are impulse control, learning to embrace moments of calm even when exciting things are happening, and greeting other dogs, especially while on leash. While he lives with a cat now he does want to chase him. He doesn’t seem to want to hurt him but is still working on “leave it” so he’d do best in home with no cats at this time. Winston loves all people and is sweet as pie, but he needs a home with another playful dog and/or acreage to run. His recall is decent and he’ll run a property and come back when called, as long as he’s not mid small critter chase (he is part coonhound after all!). If you’re in a place to take on a project with a whole lot of love and play to give, Winston may be the dog for you!! All animal breeds and ages are a best estimate

If you are interested in adopting any of our rescue animals please head over to our website HouseOfHoundsRescue.com for an adoption application! Once we receive your application we will contact your vet (if you are a previous pet owner) for a vet check. This is just to make sure all of your past and current animals are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines and well cared for. Once the vet check is complete we will schedule a time to visit you at your home to be sure your home and life are a good fit for the animal you applied for.
