This resilient, loyal, and reserved boy is around 4 years old and weighs around 40 lbs. He was found in an abusive situation where he was chained to a wall and was severely neglected. Due to a lack of shelter space, Puppy Promise took him into their program. Winston would thrive with a patient family who is kind and could continue his training, providing positive redirected behaviors. Winston has the most gentle eyes that you'll fall in love with, and he deserves a second chance at life. Bearing in mind all the abuse Winston has endured, Winston is such a lovable dog who wants the kindness of his humans. He is crate-trained, enjoys his meals in there, and feels safe. He is neutral towards dogs his size, preferring the company of another independent canine friend. He is working on his leash skills. Submit Adoption Application Adoption applications for our pups and cats can be found using this link: https://www.amazingstraysrescue.org/forms-applications Please note: puppies are only adoptable to residents of San Diego county. 2. Interview If your application is selected to continue in the adoption process, a volunteer will contact you. 3. Home Check After reviewing your application and phone interview, we will conduct a home check. 4. Meet the Pet The ASR volunteer will help coordinate a play date between you and the foster so you can meet the pet. 5. Pay Fee 6. Sign Adoption Contract Please note: we are a volunteer based rescue and due to the large number of applications we receive, we are unable to respond to each individual applicant.
