Winnie *ADOPTION PENDING*'s Story
Meet Winnie

This beautiful pup is from a rescue in Mexico. She was found in the trash in a poor neighbourhood and was saved by the local rescue. We are thrilled to now have Winnie in our care and will work to find her a wonderful forever home.

Winnie is about 4 months old and weighs 16 pounds. She is a Retriever mix.

Her foster family describe her as a sweet, affectionate, smart, and active girl with the perfect balance of playful energy and cozy cuddle vibes. She’s a master at fetch, an excellent snuggle buddy, and loves to quietly observe whatever her people are up to, always nearby, always curious.

She’s fantastic in her crate and sleeps through the night without a peep. Winnie is about 99% house trained and does wonderfully with her foster sister, engaging in play every chance she gets. She’s also shown little interest in the resident cat and is very respectful.

Winnie is a bright, food-motivated girl who truly loves to learn. She already knows some basic commands and will absolutely excel with continued training. An outdoor enthusiast at heart, she loves being outside in all kinds of weather. Rain, shine, or snow. Her adopter must be prepared to continue with her training. She will be an active dog who will require plenty of daily exercise and play time.

Winnie’s ideal home would include a securely fenced yard where she can safely run, play, and burn off her happy energy in between her daily walks. Given her activity level and love for the outdoors, an apartment or condo setting would not be a suitable fit for this girl. She would not do well being left alone for long hours during the day.

Please see our website (www.adoptadogsavealife.com) for information about our rescue and adoptions.

Our adoption process includes an online application, a telephone interview, a virtual or in person home visit, reference checks and a meeting with the dog. An adoption fee of $500.00 applies.
Winnie is in a foster home in Pickering, ON.

Winnie is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines. She is negative for heart worm and tick borne diseases. She is currently being treated for giardia.

***Winnie’s bio may change as we learn more about her.
