Winnie's Story
Winnie's a great dog in need of a new, forever home. At 90 lbs she's a big girl, although she still sees herself as a lap dog at times.

Winnie just turned 2 years old in September. She loves being outdoors, however since her current home doesn't have a fenced in space she's accustomed to being out on a 100 ft lead, to which she's adapted well.

Winnie has lots of back yard friends, namely deer. She coexists with them peacefully, yet per Rich, her current owner, the minute an adult walks outside she'll bark at the deer as if to say, 'OK, run off now, I need to look like I'm doing my job out here as a normal dog,' isn't that hilarious?!

Winnie's house-trained and is in a large pen in the family basement when at home alone. And that, per the family, is the reason she needs a new, permanent, loving home- she's home alone too often. Rich and his wife both work fulltime+. Rich runs a car dealership and is used to pulling 60-80 hour work weeks.

Winnie's accustomed to cats and isn't cat-reactive, she's great with kids (lived with a 2 year old and a 4 year old human before- the adult son is actually who had initially adopted Winnie, during a time he cohabitated with a gf with young children).

This is an excellent, smart, fun dog in need of a new home- Rich at 513-659-9709 or his wife, Kathy at 513-490-3606, are the primary contacts for Winnie's rehoming since they're in Ft. Thomas, Ky (just 20 mins from Cinci), and this rescue is based in Louisville, Ky. -This is a courtesy listing for the family. That being said, please feel free to email the rescue via this post, or contact me personally -via text first- to schedule a call w/ me about meeting or adopting Winnie 502-309-4155 if you prefer that to speaking directly with the current owners.

-The last pic of Winnie is from shortly after she was adopted, as a puppy. She was cute then, and is pretty and noble-looking now. -Great dog. Already house-broken.

The $75 adoption fee would go to the rescue to help offset energy and time invested in Winnie's rehoming, and to, overall, help keep the rescue afloat.

Thank You,

Jessica
