WINNIE

Meet WINNIE (AKA WINIFRED, FRED, FREDDY), an adorable mini heeler! We've had WINNIE in rescue for just over a year. She came to us via the Idaho Falls Animal Shelter and was borderline feral when she first arrived. We're not sure what her life was like prior to ending up at the shelter, but she clearly did not receive much socialization. Over the past couple of months she's begun to make some serious progress and is getting close to being adoptable. She will require a very special home with a patient, knowledgeable owner who will continue to work with her. She gets along well with other dogs and cats. She is crate trained, but is struggling with house training. If taken out regularly she does fine, but she will not hold it if she has to go. She now does quite well on leash - once you've caught her - and has gotten accustomed to going for car rides and visiting vets offices, pet stores, and grooming salons.
