Winnie's Story
Winnie is a 5-month old Australian cattle dog from south Texas. She and her littermates came to us in March. She has been in a foster home in Mount Vernon for the past three weeks. Winnie currently lives with two adults, two children (5 and 7), two cats, two dogs, and chickens.

Winnie was one of the more confident pups in the litter. She enjoys meeting new people and dogs. Winnie likes going on walks, playing fetch and hanging with her humans. She is a big fan of cuddling on the couch with her people in the evenings. Winnie dislikes car rides (but is improving slowly). She does better in the car when crated. She is mostly potty trained, but has an occasional accident in the house. She sleeps quietly In her crate at night and is learning basic commands.

She is curious about the cats that she lives with and likes to sniff them. She shows interest, but no aggression. She showed mild interest in chickens by sniffing along the fence line. When introduced on a leash, she was fine around them.

Winnie is spayed, microchipped and has received age-appropriate core vaccines. She is being fostered in Mount Vernon, WA and the adoption fee is $440. Winnie will be ready for adoption after her vet exam on 4/25/22. If you're interested in meeting Winnie, please fill out an adoption application on our website: pnwcdr.org/adopt

Please note: We do not do DNA testing on our foster dogs.
