Winnie

Winnie is a darling 2 year old mixed breed with a heart full of love and a gentle spirit. At about 40 pounds, she’s the perfect medium-sized companion for someone who appreciates a sweet, sensitive soul. Winnie can be a bit timid when meeting new people, but once she realizes she’s safe, she warms up quickly and shows her affectionate, loyal side. She’s done well with most other dogs, though a very high energy or overly pushy playmate might be a bit much for her. She also tested well with cats—if anything, she seemed more nervous of them than the other way around. This lovely girl is currently being treated for a tick borne illness. She shows no signs of feeling sick, it’s not contagious, and RDHS will cover the cost of her first recheck test and medication. She’ll just need continued treatment until her test comes back negative. Winnie hasn’t met young children yet, so a meet and greet would be the best way to see if it’s a good fit.
