Winnie's Story

Meet Winnie; a young girl who is full of sass, snuggles and spunk! Winnie came to us as a very shy and reserved dog who has taken the time to slowly come out of her shell! Although she is still working on her confidence and skills, she shines when she has a trusted and confident handler, lots of opportunities to experience outdoor activities (she's a zoomer!) and has a cozy dog bed to retreat to when she needs some down time. Winnie's previous foster says she was a great house guest who's favorite spot to hang out was by the fireplace. Winnie has also had the guidance of a professional trainer to help with reactivity and confidence building during her stay at the shelter and would love an adopter who is committed to ongoing learning. Winnie has come a long way; from not being able to interact with dogs, to having successful playdates! With the right companion, Winnie could potentially go home with another dog. She has a prey drive, so she will not be able to live with cats and she would do best in a child free home.
