Winkin

Winkin' was born 10/24/07 to a lab/collie mix in a local trailer court. The owners saw a male poodle hanging around when her mother was in heat - Winkin' has the curly hair that looks much like a poodle.<br/><br/>When adding up the number of litters that the mother has had in the past 3 years, we figure Winkin' to be one of about 40 pups. This is completely unacceptable, and to put an end to it, PCHS is working with the owner to have the mother spayed.<br/><br/>Winkin' is probably the most mellow of the 4 pups we currently have from this litter in our shelter. She is extremely cute if not downright adorable. If her disposition is anything at all like her mother, Winkin' will be about as perfect a dog as a person can get with some proper reward based training.<br/><br/>With the poodle mixture, Winkin' is likely to shed a little less than we would normally expect. <br/><br/>Winkin' is, of course, NOT house-trained and will chew on anything in sight. We have tried to get them acclimated to piddle pads, but so far they just want to rip them apart & eat them.<br/><br/>All of the pups are extremely well socialized. They were handled by many kids in the trailer court & slept in the house with the son of the previous owner. They have been pampered & expect that to continue.
