Meet Winifred: Practicing the Ancient Art of Being Delightful<br/><br/>Winifred is a 5-year-old, 60-pound Lab/Pittie mix who has somehow mastered a rare canine specialty: being extremely enjoyable without requiring a three-ring circus to accomplish it.<br/><br/>She loves walks and is excellent on leash. She loves car rides and behaves beautifully. She knows commands, is potty trained, and can be left home alone. Presumably she spends this time pursuing private interests. We respect the mystery.<br/><br/>Her favorite activities include pup cups, lounging, being near her people, and occasionally becoming playful enough to suggest there has been a clerical error regarding her maturity.<br/><br/>Winifred likes dogs with a thoughtful introduction. Cats are a no. Humans are very much a yes. She is affectionate and wonderfully companionable without needing to crawl inside your rib cage to confirm the relationship remains active.<br/><br/>Mostly, Winifred has the energy of a dog you've somehow known forever. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).<br/><br/>The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as our website, Chewy, Pet Finder, and others. These are in no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.<br/><br/>***Take Paws Rescue, based in New Orleans, saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it's the perfect match!
