Windfall's Story
Windfall is a beautiful Lab who is beginning her new chapter after spending her life as a breeder dog. She's now discovering what it means to live in a home — and she's making wonderful progress.

She loves attention, enjoys being near her people, and has a calm, curious nature. Inside the home, she's unfazed by everyday noises like the vacuum, washer, and TV. She doesn't chew and enjoys carrying around soft toys. At night, she happily sleeps near the bed, content just being close.

Windfall is fully house-trained in her foster home with no accidents and has not needed to be crated. She's respectful in the house and settles nicely.

With other dogs, she benefits from slow, thoughtful introductions. She can be a little protective of food or special toys at first, so feeding separately and allowing space helps her feel secure. Once comfortable, she relaxes well — even sharing space during chew time without issue. Like many dogs who've spent their lives in a kennel setting, she just needs time to learn that she doesn't have to compete anymore.

She enjoys her large fenced yard and likes to explore. On walks, she's curious and walks nicely on a harness. Loud, sudden noises outside can startle her, so a secure leash and patient guidance are important while she continues building confidence.

Windfall would do best in a patient home that understands she may need a little time to settle in. She doesn't ask for much — just consistency, kindness, and reassurance that she's safe.

With time and love, Windfall is proving to be a loyal, gentle companion who is ready to finally belong to a family of her own.

Please apply to adopt at Diamonddogsrescue.com
