Meet Wilson<br/><br/>Wilson is an approximately 6 month old Sheepdog / Shepherd mix who was rescued from a heartbreaking situation where he spent 2 months of his life tied to a tree 24/7, no matter the weather. Despite everything he has been through, Wilson has remained an incredibly sweet, loving, and playful dog.<br/><br/>He absolutely loves human attention, enjoys playing, and gets along great with kids and other dogs. Wilson can be a little shy in the beginning, but once he feels safe, he becomes extremely friendly, affectionate, and loyal.<br/><br/>Wilson is still very much a puppy at heart and has lots of energy, so he would thrive with an active family who enjoys walks, hikes, outdoor adventures, and spending time together. He would especially love a home with a big yard or even acreage where he can finally run freely and enjoy the life he deserves. Older kids who can play with him would also be a wonderful match for him.<br/><br/>After spending so long tied up, Wilson is looking for a forever home where he can continue to grow, feel safe, and truly be part of a family. He currently weights 33 lb<br/><br/>He is currently being fostered in Mexico and will travel to the US once adopted.

From Stray to Stay Rescue's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process begins with the potential adopter completing an adoption application. Once reviewed, we conduct an interview to better understand the adopter’s lifestyle, expectations, and ability to provide a suitable home. A video chat is then scheduled so the potential family can meet the dog and interact virtually. We contact personal and veterinary references as part of our screening process. If approved, an adoption contract is sent, signed, and the adoption is finalized. Transportation is then scheduled, and after placement, we follow up with the adopter to ensure the puppy or dog is a great fit and is thriving in their new home environment.
