Willy's Story

At the end of November, Willy and his littermates were surrendered to North Paw Rescue after their beagle-mix mother passed. These puppies were bottle-fed, moved to kibble and have now graduated to looking for their forever homes. Willy may be part billy goat as he loves to climb, though has not yet mastered how to get down from the heights he discovers.

Willy is brave, energetic, curious, and he loves being loved on. With such a cute face, he tolerates his foster mom giving him kissies. His favorite toys are squeaky and chew toys, and he enjoys fetch with a ball. He is crate trained, working on potty training and almost has the stairs perfected. Will enjoys the pampering of a warm bath, and he likes the snow but not the Arctic cold.

Willy gets along with dogs, cats and has been fostered with elementary school children. At the start of February, he weighs 12 pounds. He understands the command no and has good recall. He is still a puppy and sometimes needs redirection to what goes in his mouth and what should not. With continued training, he will make a great family member to an active household.
