Meet Willow — a true old soul. <br/><br/>There is something about Willow that you feel the moment you meet her. She has this incredibly sweet, gentle way of connecting with people, as though she already knows you. Give her a little affection and she may quietly lean in, bring that big, beautiful head close, and gently nuzzle her nose into your neck. It’s one of those little Willow moments that makes you fall for her.<br/><br/>Willow is a 1-year-old, 50-pound Staffordshire Terrier/Pittie mix who recently arrived in Colorado and is already proving to be an exceptional dog. We're stepping in to help her person find a good home for her.<br/><br/>She loves her people and genuinely enjoys being with them, while also feeling confident and comfortable on her own. She is playful and fun, but one of the things we love most about Willow is how beautifully she can shift gears. She can romp and play, and then settle down and relax when it’s time. With her medium energy level, she can be an active companion for adventures or a calm, easy dog to hang out with.<br/><br/>Willow is a terrific dog-to-dog communicator. She has been around dogs of all sizes and does a wonderful job reading their signals, respecting boundaries, and adjusting her behavior. She enjoys canine friends and has a lovely social style.<br/><br/>She is house trained, crate trained, and comfortable being left alone for reasonable periods. She would be an especially wonderful companion for someone who works from home, happily curling up nearby while you work. As a young dog, she’ll still need regular exercise, enrichment, and interaction, but she has shown that she can settle beautifully.<br/><br/>Willow enjoys learning and is responsive to her people, making her a fun dog to continue training and build a relationship with.<br/><br/>Although she has only recently arrived in Colorado and we’re still getting to know her, everything we’ve seen points to a balanced, resilient, and special young dog.<br/><br/>We’re looking for an exceptional home for this exceptional girl — someone who will appreciate her sweet, thoughtful nature, give her a meaningful place in their life, and continue helping her grow into the wonderful adult dog she is becoming.<br/><br/>Willow is playful, affectionate, social, emotionally connected, and wonderfully easy to live with.
