Willow's Story

Meet Willow!!!

This poor girl came to the SPCA following a car strike injury that led to her relocation to the SPCA of Upstate New York. The event injured her hind legs and her left eye, which needed a long recovery and healing time ahead of her adoption. Her eye injury was repaired and required the removal of her third eyelid on the left eye. Her injuries to her hind legs led to degenerative joint disease which will require long term joint support and pain management with her new owner. Willow is a shy girl that just needs to be taught that the world is full of good again. A slow, calm and kind approach will mean this amazing dog will never leave your side. This sweet girl has had a long road from home and just needs to find her way to a permanent forever home.

Temperament:

-Willow is a shy and cautious girl. She is known to be good with other dogs and friendly to strangers after a warm up period. She is very sweet and loyal and loves the people that she makes friends with. Due to her injury and recovery time in the shelter she may be best for a single dog home, however if you already have another pup at home please schedule a meet and greet to see if they are a good fit.
- Willow’s temperament with cats has been untested.

Health:
Willow is spayed.
Willow is up to date on her Rabies and Distemper Vaccines
Willow has an injury to her hind legs. She suffers from degenerative joint disease and would require joint supplements and pain management medication.
Willow has had her third eyelid removed from her left eye.
