Willow - Courtesy Listing's Story

Willow has all of the greatest attributes from both breeds in her DNA, German Shepherd and Australian cattle dog. Having such intense working breed genetics also means that she is a pretty high energy girl. She’s very young at 1.5 years old, about 50 pounds, and she’s smart as a whip! She loves to learn and knows several commands. Her mom has taken her through some training in multiple disciplines; obedience, Agility, and herding ball. She would excel in a sport home with someone who loves training or with someone who is super active outdoors; hiking, biking, etc.

Willow is pretty friendly with other dogs, but on leash she can be a bit of a ball of energy, so meet up should be done off leash. She has not lived with cats or children, so probably best in a home without these. She is house trained and does not need to be crated, unless riding in the car. Willow is friendly with people, but she’s not interested in snuggling with anyone but her person. She’s a fairly serious dog with drive and work ethic. She loves to play ball, loves doing Agility, and loves to herd.

Willow‘s young mom has recently completed her college degree and is now working long hours. She doesn’t feel she can provide the best home for Willow any longer.

Willow is located in Corvallis, OR.

If you are interested in adopting Willow, please fill out the application on our website at: https://www.westernaustralianshepherdrescue.com/adoption-application.html.
