Willow's Story

Meet Willow

Willow is a 4-5 year old mixed-breed girl who is looking for a calm, patient home where she can truly blossom. This gentle girl can be shy and a bit nervous at first, especially around new people and environments, but with time, understanding, and a soft approach, her loving personality will shine through.

Willow tends to feel most comfortable with women and would do best in a home with older children. She's not the kind of dog who will rush up for attention and she will need time to settle in at her own pace. Willows is a perfect couch companion. Surprisingly, Willow prefers to sleep in a large dog crate at night. I think it just makes her feel safe.

Right now, Willow is overweight and is looking for a dedicated adopter who can help her get back to a healthy lifestyle. She will need daily walks and strict portion control to help her safely shed the extra weight. Over the last few months, she has made great progress.

Willow is fully vetted-she is microchipped, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and spayed-so she's ready to start her next chapter.

She is currently being fostered in Madison, AL, with two large dogs and 3 cats. Willow will do best with a doggie friend who can help her feel more confident and secure on walks and while adjusting to a new home routine.

To learn more about Willow and meet her, please fill out an adoption application at forrescue.net
