Willow's Story

Willow is a 1.5-year-old Labrador Retriever mix, who was found giving birth on a mountain on a cold and rainy day. Our rescue partner in Korea quickly took them in to provide proper medical care and treatments to her and her puppies. Luckily, they are all healthy and all of her puppies have been adopted. Now it is Willow's turn to look for her loving forever home.

Willow is currently going through a heartworm treatment, and will be arriving in Canada at the end of September. We have a foster home in place in the Richmond area, but would love to be lucky enough to find a “foster to adopt” home, so Willow can immediately start bonding with her new family.

Willow is a gentle soul who is very mellow and kind to human, dogs, and cats. She is not shy or scared of people that she meets for the first time. She does well with other dogs, even with those that are so much bigger than her. She is very gentle to cats and gets along well with the ones that reside at the shelter when she was there earlier. Willow has not been tested around young children and other small animals.

Willow is currently being fostered in an apartment in Korea and knows to go outside to go to the bathroom. Ensuring house training will need supervision and positive reinforcement but Willow should adapt quickly. Her foster says Willow is very smart and learn tricks quickly.

Willow walks well on leash and does not pull her foster. She will need to bond and train with you before she can be safe and trusted off leash. There are many local sights sounds and smells that can spook new dogs that we don’t think about.

Willow is currently 15 kgs and approximately 1.5 years old. She is spayed and microchipped.

Vaccinations are up to date:
- DHLPP, Corona, Influenza, Kennel cough
- Rabies

Our adoption application is here:
http://carriedthrough.com/dog-adoption-application.php

We may not have time to respond to all inquires. Priority is given to those who contact us via a complete adoption application. Thank you.
