Willis's Story

MEET WILLIS!

Willis is an 8 month old puppy who came into the rescue with parvovirus. He had a rough beginning but he has completely healed and is now a healthy, happy puppy. Willis loves to play with his foster sibling dogs and cats. He also has a foster sister rabbit who he has been very respectful around. Willis loves his people hard and is a big snuggle bug when he isn't playing. His favorite games are tossing stuffed toys, chewing bones, and wrestling with his friends. Willis sleeps under the blankets next to his foster mom every night. During the day, he loves to bask in the sunshine.

Willis is a special boy. He has a slight abnormality of his left hind foot that is lovingly referred to as his "mega-toe." This does not bother him in anyway as the wound has fully healed. Along with his mega-toe, Willis also has a disorder called megaesophagus. This means his esophagus is weak and distended and it does not propel food into his stomach like it should. Willis eats wet food in a custom-made chair to hold him upwards and allows gravity to pull the food into his stomach. He has done incredibly well with this small change and does not need any medications at this time! Willis will come with his special chair and bowl.

Don't let this deter you from bringing Willis into your home! He is a great boy and deserves a happy ending and forever home!
