Willie's Story

Foster or adopter needed-- Willie was adopted last year at 3.5 months old, but, unfortunately, he is now being returned.

We are confident that the quirks that are getting Willie returned (e.g., breaking out of his crate, being distracted on leash, being excitable and running into his owner) can be easily addressed through positive training, enrichment, and attention. Willie is still a puppy at heart, and we hope somebody will give him a chance to grow into an amazing adult dog.

Willie is just over a year old, full grown at 70lbs, neutered and UTD. He is reportedly good with other dogs but can been excitable; he likes fuzzy blankets, whipped cream, and snoozing on the couch. He is not a loud dog; he is house trained, and he will need enrichment to keep his mind busy when left alone. Willie has not been around cats since he left us, but is good with people (unknown with kids though it does sound like he’s a bit of a bowling ball so older is better).

Willie just needs a chance. Somebody who is willing to devote a little time to training him, playing with him, and showing him healthy energy outlets. We know he’s destined for a great and long life with a family who is committed to him!
