Meet Willie??<br/><br/>This sweet boy recently had a mast cell tumor removed, but the surgery came back with dirty margins. That means his future is uncertain — but right now, he’s happy, loving, and ready to soak up every cuddle and belly rub he can get. We don’t know if he has years or something shorter, but what we do know is that he deserves to spend that time in a real home, with a family who loves him. Could you be the one to give Willie the gift of comfort and joy, no matter how long he has? ĀAt 11yrs of age, ĀWIllie knows how to get the pet jobĀdone and is ISO just one more full time pet position. ĀCan you help our grand, mid-sizedĀfriend? He quickly earned straight A's in his foster and is ready to meet you!!Ā<br/><br/>Foster update: Willie is such a sweetheart. And smart (great with sit and come so far), and well-mannered- does not bark, jump, chew up anything, no accidents, fine in crate but after day 2 it was clear he was fine having run of the house. Also, he is perfect in the car and on leash and loves hikes:). He also just did amazing with his first bath with me.<br/><br/>Facebook Update Oct 14: It's time to talk WILLIE again!! ĀYes, Āagain!! Ā<br/>Willie strikes again. ĀHe's headline news becauseĀonce again he's being the perfectĀhouse guest...the perfect fosterĀpet!! ĀA nice woman responded to one of our facebook pleasĀaskingĀfor foster help. Ā Due to a medical issue, Āshe needed a calm, well mannered dog that she could easily walk as she herselfĀwas a bit wobbly on her feet but wished to help us.<br/><br/>We quickly recommended Willie, the two met, hit it off (Uh, how you not as he's SOOO nice/friendly etc) and off they went. Ā Now, Āhere's the PERFECT update for this PERFECT dog. ĀPlease ask to meet WILLIE today. He's still in foster so let's get an appt on the books for you to meetĀhim. ĀLife is better with our boy Willie by YOUR side!! ĀTrust us!Ā<br/><br/>Foster update:ĀWillie is a love!! He is house trained. Not one accident since I have had him. ĀHe prefers his bed over the couch. ĀHe has only barked a couple times. Ā I don’t have any animals here with me so not sure in that department. Ā He was interested in the neighbors dog but we didn’t introduce them as the neighbors dog is a Pitbull and still has a lot of energy. ĀWillie is a senior laid back guy. ĀHe has no food aggression. He loves his treats and will play with squeaky toys for a bit. ĀI gave him a bath.. and although he wasn’t a fan he stayed politely. He likes the car. ĀHe likes being pet and will easily give kisses. He knows how to sit. He walks great on the leash and likes to go for walks. I could leave him alone free in the house and nothing is chewed or damaged. No separation anxiety. He is really just a sweet love!!<br/><br/>Facebook Update Oct 26: MOVE IN QUALITY WILLIE!!<br/>Oh my goodness! ĀHow can it be Mr Perfect aka WILLIE is not yet tucked into his new full time pet job?? ĀWillie has been in several foster homes and he's been terrific in each and everyone!! Ā A little over 11yrs of age, Āhe knows how to get the pet job done. ĀHe's wonderful in the home environment, Āgood with otherĀdogs (no cats please), good in cars and super best at simply chilling near you, by you and being your best friend. ĀVery calm, polite, easy to manage and a mid size at 41lbs, Āhis familyĀis out there. ĀMight it be YOU?? <br/><br/>Foster update:ĀWillie is doing great! He loves going for walks with me and is just as happy to lay in his bed when I’m watching tv. ĀHe loves his treats and has been just so sweet. ĀOne day a little boy came up to him and wrapped his arms around his neck for a big hug and Willie just took it in stride. No aggression no fear. ĀNot one accident since he has been here. ĀSuch a wonderful companion! I hope he finds a wonderful home!!<br/><br/>Foster update Nov 9: Foster Update: Willie is just the perfect gentleman. He is a love. He has settled right into a routine. He loves to eat and loves his snacks even more! He has never had an accident in the house. He is a pleasure to walk with. He doesn’t pull on the leash and is easy going. He enjoys going for walks but I sometimes think he is even more excited to come home because he always gets a snack when we return! As soon as we walk through the door he has a little happy dance knowing it’s treat time! (Yes, I think he has trained me!). He is not a fan of cats as he stares them down on our walks. We have never gotten close to any for a bigger reaction. He doesn’t seem to mind other dogs as much but he seems a little indifferent to them. He doesn’t bark much at all. In fact I’ve only heard him bark a couple of times. He has no food aggression. He definitely likes to be around you and has started to follow me around the house more. He doesn’t jump on the furniture and is happy on the floor or in his bed. Sometimes he snores.. not horrible but it always makes me laugh!! He is really just the sweetest lovebug who deserves to be spoiled!! I hope he finds his perfect family.
