Will you be a hero to this survivor?'s Story

Do you want to be a hero to a dog who is a true survivor?

Meet Charlie…

Charlie arrived in a Southern CA shelter in fall of 2024 with an injury beyond what the shelter could repair therefore a plea went out for a rescue. Thankfully, one stepped up and saved his life. After consulting with a top ortho surgeon who had saved other dog’s legs, it was determined Charlie most likely suffering in pain for at least six months due to his leg. They do not know if it was something he was born with or an injury that occurred as a puppy, but they determined to give him the best life and amputation was unfortunately his best option.

Charlie, being a survivor, and a young, healthy boy, rebounded from the surgery like a true champion. One leg gone? Won’t keep Charlie down! Despite being a tripod, Charlie is as happy and as able as any four legged dog. Charlie was sent by his rescue to board and train to work on confidence building, socialization and basic obedience. After months in training, Charlie is dog neutral, walks well on leash, and is Ecollar conditioned. He’s a very well trained pup! He is also house broken, crate trained and fully vetted.

Charlie is not only handsome, he's extremely sweet and down to do anything. As one of the longest residents in the rescue, it is our hope to help find him a home before he hits the one year mark in the rescue. There is no reason for Charlie to keep waiting much longer.

If you are able to give Charlie the home he's been waiting for and that he deserves please reach out for an adoption application.
