Wilfred's Story

Wilfred is a sweet, laid-back boy who loves both his people and other dogs equally! He's a social butterfly who is always eager to greet new friends and never turns down an opportunity for a good pet from his favorite person or a friendly stranger. He's playful and curious but also enjoys settling in for a cozy nap, especially when he can be close to his people. And if there are treats involved, even better! Wilfred definitely prefers food over toys and is always happy to show off his good manners for a tasty reward.

Wilfred is a wonderfully well-behaved boy with fantastic leash manners as he doesn't pull, and walks beautifully by his person. He knows his basic commands, is completely potty trained with zero accidents in the house, and is earning an A+ for house training! He's also a pretty quiet guy who isn't very vocal and simply enjoys being near his people. He's still working on his crate training, but he's making progress. Wilfred has not yet lived with cats or children, so those relationships are unknown, but he has shown no aggressive behaviors and seems to do well with other dogs. And one of his favorite things? Morning cuddles with his people!

**Quick stats!**
--Dogs: gets along well with other dogs; has not lived with another dog in the home
--Cats: has not lived with cats in the home
--Children: has not lived with children in the home
--Likes: treats, attention, morning cuddles, playtime, naps, walks, meeting new friends, and being close to his people

If Wilfred sounds like the right fit for your home, fill out an adoption application today! muttsofthemidway.org/adopt

Mutts of the Midway's Adoption Policy
Thank you for choosing to adopt and your interest in Mutts of the Midway. Once there is an interest in a dog, our adoption application is completed with that dog noted. The application is vetted and two personal references and one veterinarian reference are checked. If approved, a meet and greet is set-up with all family members (including children and other dogs) and the adoptable dog. If the adopter and foster family agree it is a good fit, the adoption contract is completed and the adoption fee ($350 for a dog 6 months and younger, $300 for a dog older than 6 months) is paid. Finally the pick-up of the new family member is arranged! All applications are processed in the order they are received and we strive to find the best home for each of our dogs. All adopted animals will go into their forever home current on vaccines, microchipped, spay/neutered, heartworm preventative and given a health exam.
