Wiggy's Story

Wiggy is an 8-week-old boy puppy weighing about 11 pounds. He appears to be a larger-breed mix, possibly something like a St. Bernard / Border Collie mix or another type of working dog breed. Because he’s likely to grow into a big, active dog, a fenced yard will be best for him so he has room to run and play.

Like most puppies his age, Wiggy is playful, sweet, and absolutely adorable. He’s also very affectionate and loves attention. Right now he’s learning the basics—working on potty training and getting more comfortable in his new environment.

Wiggy is a lovable little guy with a big personality, and he’ll make a wonderful companion for a family ready for all the fun (and training!) that comes with raising a puppy.

Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.

Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.

Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
