WHOOPI's Story
NAME: WHOOPI
GENDER: FEMALE
BREED: FORMOSAN MOUNTAIN DOG MIX
COLOR: BLACK
AGE: 1 YEAR OLD
WEIGHT: 32lbs
SPAY OR NEUTER: Yes
MICROCHIP: Yes

If you would like to give WHOOPI by a forever home, please go to
www.adoptadoggie.org to fill out an online application with home photos.

Whoopi is a sweet and gentle tripod! She is good with people, gentle with children, and good with dogs of all sizes. Whoopi has been through a rough start in life and is shy with new people at first. However, it doesn’t take her long to warm up. Whoopi has a good temperament and lots of love to give. She is doing well in her foster home and ready for her forever home. Whoopi started some leash training and is learning at a good pace. She is crate-trained and doing well on her housetraining. She rides well in the car and enjoys trips to the doggie park. Whoopi and her sister, Whoopa, are looking for a loving home together.

Whoopi’s Rescue Story

Whoopi and Whoopa were abandoned on the streets. Some people were nice to them and brought them food. And some would kick them and chase them around. They were rescued by a volunteer of a TNR (Trap / Neuter / Return) rescue group. The rescue has a temporary shelter for the dogs. TNR groups specialize in getting stray animals spayed and neutered and the animals are returned to their original location to live as homeless dogs. TNR programs help with the overpopulation of unwanted animals. The volunteer reached out to an experienced international rescue organization to help with them and some other puppies that are still too young to be released back to the streets. The founder of the rescue organization has over 180 dogs waiting for homes. However, she could not bear to see them going back to the mountain and suffer on the streets. She agreed to take them home and give them a chance in life.

They had a thorough medical checkup. They had been spayed, vaccinated, microchip, and passed negative on their blood tests. Please give Whoopi and Whoopa a loving home to grow up.

Please watch Whoopi’s YouTube videos below:
https://youtu.be/e_dR6Nq1LNU - Whoopi & Whoopa at Foster Home
https://youtu.be/w_Aos8f64yw - Whoopi & Whoopa at Foster Home
https://youtu.be/FOUfIVV7G_c - Whoopi & Whoopa chewing bones
https://youtu.be/y7r1I6QVYkE - Whoopi & Whoopa with children
https://youtu.be/Yxf6SjMlf78 - Whoopi & Whoopa with children
https://youtu.be/yiFypAvWG8A - Whoopi & Whoopa meeting a child
https://youtu.be/KpK4eY7-1cI - Whoopi no food aggression
https://youtu.be/Es_sApCCtx0 - Whoopi good with cats
https://youtu.be/SRiC5_sNgAc - Whoopi & Whoopa good with cats
https://youtu.be/nvUe5RD9sWI - Whoopi & Whoopa good with strangers
https://youtu.be/JmTg3dl-_wQ - Whoopi & Whoopa in pubic
https://youtu.be/O1Gs_aDxCGI - Whoopi & Whoopa at Doggie Park
https://youtu.be/1zvV51fDAk4 - Whoopi & Whoopa walking
https://youtu.be/_eb-CfVwDZA – Whoopi & Whoopa at airport
https://youtu.be/JHKQAKPEALg - Whoopi Off Leash Hiking
https://youtu.be/tfWTeWFEfwE - Whoopi & Whoopa Hiking
https://youtu.be/2XEmYI8H76c - Whoopi & Whoopa training
https://youtu.be/g_MjDxGDR5Y - Whoopi & Whoopa Vet Checkup
https://youtu.be/rBbJEcVe0DU - The rescue of Whoopi & Whoopa

If you would like to give WHOOPI a forever home, please go to www.adoptadoggie.org to fill out an online application with your home photos.
You can also email your home environment photos to contact@adoptadoggie.org
Once we receive your application, we will get back to you ASAP.

Adopt a Doggie Facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Adopt-a-Doggie/312107112299799

Temperament:
Energy Level: Medium
Ideal home environment: Both Quiet & Active
Is the dog good with strangers: Friendly
The dog is best with children of what age group?
