Whiskey's Story
Whiskey was found in the woods while a family was hiking in Soddy Daisy and came right up to them asking for help. He was skin and bones and had obviously been loose for quite some time. His microchip led back to Walker County Animal Shelter, but the contact info for the owner was no longer current.

Whiskey looks to be a purebred German Shepherd. He is 4.5 years old and only weighed 61 pounds when he came in. We expect he will weigh ~80-90 pounds when he eventually reaches a healthy weight. For now, we are feeding 3 times a day as he tends to devour his food quickly. He definitely gets very excited at the prospect of treats. He is very social and does well with kids. He has been on several car trips and hikes and has done great around all dogs and other people while out.

We're open Wednesday - Sunday 12 - 5 p.m but are doing meet & greets and adoptions by appointment only.

The adoption fee is $135 which includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption at local participating vets, up to date vaccinations, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, dewormer, flea preventative, microchip, & spay or neuter.

If you are interested in this pet, please fill out our ADOPTION APPLICATION at https://bit.ly/3HN4Tqq

Visit our website at www.PetPlacementCenter.com
