Meet Whiskey! <br/><br/>At just 1 year old and 11 lbs, Whiskey is a tiny lovebug with a BIG heart! This sweet Chihuahua mix from Tijuana is the ultimate Velcro dog. If you're looking for a little shadow who will happily follow you around and soak up all the affection you have to give, Whiskey might just be your girl <br/><br/>Whiskey gets along well with her resident foster dog sibling, and would be happiest in a home with another friendly dog sibling. She loves playing with toys, chewing on bones, and being close to her favorite people. She has bursts of puppy energy throughout the day, so she'd love a family that can keep her engaged with playtime, toys, and activities to keep her busy!<br/><br/>She's still finding her confidence in city life, and can be a little shy/skittish around new people or in unfamiliar environments. With time, patience, and encouragement, she's continuing to learn that the world isn't such a scary place. She has made great strides in learning her housetraining skills, and will need someone who is willing to work with her on leash walking, and basic commands & manners. She has been doing well using pee pads indoors and has been improving when left alone for a few hours at a time.<br/><br/>Whiskey has so much love to give and is just waiting for someone to help her blossom. In return, you'll get a devoted little best friend who wants nothing more than to be by your side. Could Whiskey be your new shadow? <br/><br/>Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella, heartworm negative, microchipped and spayed/neutered. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue.
