Wheeler-sweet, smart & handsome!'s Story
Wheeler is a special boy who needs a special person to help him blossom into his full potential. Wheeler came to OAHS as a stray, and is slowly letting his personality through. He has a very obvious sweet side, but can be slow to adjust to strangers and new environments. With patience (and some treats) Wheeler will get comfortable and affectionate, asking for pets and putting his paws on you, as if to say "I trust you". We know that there is someone out there who can help Wheeler be his best self. More about Wheeler:
-Approximately 1.5 years old (estimated)
-Weighs 76 pounds
-Anxious overall but very sweet once comfortable
-Seems anxious around other dogs at first. Would need a calm co-exister
-No knowledge on how he does with cats
-Suggested for a home with children teen-age or above
-Would do best in a calm, quiet home without a lot of foot traffic
-Appears to be potty trained & crate trained
-Moderate energy level
-Smart boy! Knows sit, down, shake
-Neutered, vaccinated & microchipped
-OAHS can sponsor in-home behavioral support for adopters

Please note dog visits are by appointment to ensure staff and space availability so we can make the best match possible.
