Wheeler's Story

6/7: I have been in the rescue for 126 days. Will you help me find a forever, loving home?

Wheeler is still up for adoption and has unlocked a new ACHIEVEMENT!

Since our last post, Wheeler was listed to be the only animal in the home. After some training, we can confidently say he's "Dog Selective - With Slow Introductions". He's made a few friends and can't wait until he finds his forever home.

NOTE: You can learn more about him at our website. A pet card is available about him that talks about how he does on the leash, in the home and so forth and also lists his "Tools for Success"

Potential Adopter must be willing to follow trainer's instruction on Introductions. (They're easy, we promise.)

Looking for a companion on your outdoor adventures? Meet Wheeler, a best friend in waiting, just for you!

This pooch was given a second chance at life after awaiting euthanization at a kennel due to lack of space. We just couldn't pass up this well-behaved pooch!

Wheeler is a dog who feels his best outdoors and loves going on adventures all over. The beach, forest trails, rocky hikes - you name it. He'll be ready! Wheeler is well-behaved outdoors and walks nicely on the leash. With some basic commands at the ready like sit or lay down, you'll have a great time on your adventure. He's also very eager to learn and please, with great focus. Wheeler is also well-behaved in the car though is still working on those "sea legs".

While Wheeler is still rather behaved indoors as he's ready to take a snooze or play some more, he does need a little moderating. Wheeler is like an engine that needs some guidance on when it's time to relax. We suggest setting up nap times, toy up time or other moments to help him realize it's time to relax. Then, he'll snooze away on the couch or floor! He's potty trained and will indicate he has to go outside by whining or jumping at the door (depending how bad he has to go, y'know?) Does not chew furniture but may need reminders to not eat socks! He has an odd obsession with socks and hair ties.

Are you ready for your next outdoor companion? Come meet Wheeler today!

1 Year Old
Lab / Shepard / Mutt
Black / Brindle / White Toes and a white Chest

Male - Neutered - UTD

Good with Kids
Wheeler has been socialized with a 5yo child and while he does well with kids, we do recommend older children as Wheeler can get overly excited or jump.

**Wheeler has been in training with Polite Canine and our Rescue Trainer**

comingbackhomerescue.com
