This dog is a courtesy listing for one of our rescue partners Allen County Animal Rescue Facility. They are a rural animal control shelter near Iola KS. Many dogs are brought to their facility after being found as strays, dumped, surrendered, or brought in by the city. However, because they are in such a rural town, they have a very small pool of adopters and have a hard time finding homes for the dogs in the shelter. Our promise as their rescue partner is that should someone apply through us, we will handle any transportation needed to get the dog to their forever home, we will assist with home visits, dog intros and anything needed to help get these dogs out of the shelter and into loving homes. Wednesday is a sweet, sensitive soul who has been waiting for a home for over a year. She is great with other dogs, especially puppies, cats, and does well with kids as long as they are calm and patient with her. She is shy to start, but warms up quick and loves her people hard. She is quite athletic and would have fun doing outdoor activities, though she has been known to make it over a fence or two in her day. Wednesday is the perfect mix of playful and snuggly and would be an excellent companion to a myriad of homes that are looking to add a furry companion.
