Waylon's Story

**Waylon is a member of our Lonely Hearts Club - this means he has been at the shelter for over 30 days, and his adoption fee is now discounted. Come meet Waylon today and give him a second chance at a forever home!**

Meet Waylon! Waylon is around 7 years old and is a neutered male.
He is a Boxer/Coonhound mix!
Waylon came to HSHP after his previous owners had a new baby join the family. Unfortunately, Waylon doesn't know how fragile baby children are and was a little too excited around them. He does like children and would do great in a home with some that are older than toddler age.
Way is a wonderful dog and we were told he is housetrained, as well as great with sit, down, shake, and stay. He has lived with and been around other dogs and has gotten along with them. We always feel better doing meet and greets with other resident dogs prior to adoptions, but it is not required for Waylon. He has not been around many cats before and we do not know how he would do living with them.
Waylon is your typical Boxer and is goofy and bouncy. He does have a tendency to pull on his leash if he is overly excited about certain situations. He is also your typical Hound and has the boisterous hound bark that he belts out when he is upset or excited. Waylon is a huge lover boy and will make sure to get you attention every chance he gets!
This stunning boy just needs to find a family who is okay with a dog that has some excitement prone tendencies. He has been absolutely loving since he has arrived and will make a great addition to his next home! If you think Waylon could be the dog for you, stop by and meet him today!
