Waylon's Story

Special dog

Waylon has been in the shelter since he was a puppy. He was taken to animal control around six-eight weeks of age. We got him to the shelter around 3 months of age. He has been in the shelter since October 3, 2024.

Waylon has spent 90% of his life in a shelter. He is a good dog but you can see some of the effects of shelter life on him. He can be skiddish, he can be paranoid or "on alert" with changes in the environment or new people. But once he knows you, he is tail-wagging, tongue hanging, jumping, running happy Waylon. This boy is still young! He needs a friend, he needs a home. Single person, family.....we can make it work!

Please contact us about Waylon. He is currently with a foster and we want to home him before another year goes by. How sad to have to stay in a kennel.

Meet Waylon!

Waylon is a gentle, sweet boy who has spent his life in the shelter since he was just 4 months old. He’s never known what it’s like to have a family or a home of his own. Waylon loves playing with other dogs, but new situations can still make him a little nervous. With patience and love, he’ll blossom into the loyal companion you’ve been searching for.

Waylon is ready for adoption and hoping to finally experience life outside the shelter. Could you be the one to show him what home really means?
