Waylon

Waylon is a handsome 3-year-old tri-color German Shepherd mix with a heart as big as his smile. This incredibly sweet boy has been through a lot in his young life, but his gentle spirit and loving nature have never wavered. Waylon first came to Serendipity last year from a rural animal control facility as a very underweight stray. With care, good food, and plenty of affection, he quickly blossomed and became a beloved member of the Serendipity pack.<br/><br/>Waylon was adopted into a home, but through no fault of his own, he has recently returned to us when his family realized they no longer had enough time for him. Despite this change, Waylon has handled it with remarkable grace. His tail still wags, his eyes still light up when he sees people, and he remains the same affectionate, loving dog he has always been.<br/><br/>What truly makes Waylon special is just how sweet and easygoing he is. He’s happiest simply being near his people—whether that means going for a walk, curling up for a nap, enjoying a good brushing, soaking up belly rubs, or snuggling on the couch. Waylon is the kind of dog who is content just sharing life with you.<br/><br/>He does enjoy chewing on sturdy nylon bones and toys, and like many playful dogs, he sometimes assumes anything toy-shaped belongs to him. Because of that, a home with older children would be the best fit. He would likely enjoy having a dog buddy to share playtime with.<br/><br/>Waylon greets everyone he meets with enthusiasm and kindness, and it doesn’t take long for people to fall in love with him.
