Meet Watson, who comes to us as an owner surrender. Watson is a 5-year-old, 38 lb., Goldendoodle. He is housetrained, crate-trained, up to date on his vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. Watson was raised in a home where he was unable to grow and learn because he was kept in his crate for the majority of the time. Although the volunteers haven’t experienced any adverse reaction to resource guarding his food/toys while in boarding, he did have these issues in the previous home. Therefore, Watson would be best suited in a home with no young children. He also needs to know he is not the alpha with humans. He is very intelligent, trainable, and eager to please. Through positive training, Watson has the potential to be a wonderful addition to the family who’s willing to invest time, love, and patience in teaching him boundaries and in-home manners. This delightfully entertaining, energetic boy has quickly become a favorite amongst our volunteers. Watson is a complete gentleman when it comes to car rides. He readily jumps into the back seat and calmly enjoys the journey to wherever the destination may be. He walks well on a leash, LOVES his toys (even puts them back in the box when finished playing fetch), is an affectionate snuggle bug, and will make you laugh out loud by taking a flying leap into your lap.
