Wasco's Story

Wasco is a young energetic pup rescued from the Lee County Animal Service. Currently in a foster home where he’s been engaging with a resident senior female pittie, all aged kitties, and a younger child. He has been great with the other dog, interested in the kitties (who don’t like new dogs) and good with the child. He still has the jumpy puppy energy and is progressing with commands.

Wasco is still learning manners, leash walking, and basic obedience. New sights and sounds can spook him at first, but he recovers quickly. He’s experiencing all things for the first time and is eager every second he gets to explore.
He loves balls and toys! We’ve only heard his bark 1-2 times so far.

PLAY! K9 Rescue's Adoption Policy
We review every application thoroughly, checking address, history of violence, proper yard and exercise plans. Ensure the adopter has a current vet and that any other pets in the home are current on medical treatment and seen by a veterinarian. Our adopters are also screened by the foster. Our fosters know the dogs best, and know what home is ideal for the dog. We do not just send a dog to the first applicant we receive.
