WARA's Story

MEET WARA

Wara is a stunning 2-year-old, 45 lb Weimaraner with a gorgeous silver-grey coat, a soft spot for adventure, and a surprisingly impressive social life. She loves running, exploring, going for walks, and hopping in the car for her next outing, but she’s equally committed to a good couch session. She’s also been fully embracing her Toronto era. Trains? Done. Ubers? Obviously. Downtown adventures? Regular occurrence. She’s officially a downtown girlie who knows her way around the 6ix!

Wara can be a little shy when meeting new people, so she’s more of a slow-burn romance than a love-at-first-sight situation. She appreciates a gentle introduction and a little patience, but once you’ve earned her trust, you’ve got yourself a seriously loyal girl. She bonds deeply with her people, looks to them for reassurance, and has a whole lot of love to give. She’s selective about who gets VIP access to her heart, and we respect that.

She’s also got the brains to back up the looks! Wara is house-trained, walks nicely on leash, knows her basic commands, and has excellent recall. She’s eager to learn, responds well to positive reinforcement, and genuinely wants to make her people happy. No beauty-versus-brains debate happening over here.

Wara is looking for a family who understands that a little patience, consistency, and love go a long way. She’s a regular at the dog park, where she happily plays with other dogs, so her social life is very much thriving. She can also live with cats and would be perfectly happy as the only dog. She’s not opposed to being the centre of attention! She’s down for an adventure but equally appreciates a peaceful home that doesn’t feel chaotic. As for her living situation, she’s been thriving in a condo with her foster mom, enjoying regular walks, park dates, and outdoor adventures. A fenced backyard would be her dream but it’s certainly not a dealbreaker. She’s keeping her real estate options open and is willing to entertain offers from both the condo and suburban markets.

Wara has spent her time in foster care learning, growing, exploring, and proving just how much she has to offer. She’s done the downtown era, built up her confidence, and perfected the art of being someone’s favourite companion. Now she’s ready for her forever-home era, and we’d really love to see this girl get her happy ending.

Breed: Weimaraner
Gender: Female
Age: 2 years
Weight: 45 lbs
Medical: Up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped
Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Yes
Good with children: Yes (respectful children)
Good on leash: Yes
Good with crate: Yes
House trained: Yes

Location: Greater Toronto Area
Apply to adopt: Adoption Form Healing Hands for Helping Paws
https://www.healinghandsforhelpingpaws.com/adopt
Questions?
