Meet Walter - A Gentle Old Soul Walter is a 9-year-old sweet boy who came to the shelter as a stray and has been nothing but polite and easygoing. He’s quiet in his kennel, well-mannered, and has a calm presence that makes him a joy to be around.<br/> He recently participated in dog-to-dog introductions and did well overall. He was a bit too interested in a potential kennel mate (he’s not neutered yet), so pairing wasn’t the right fit at that time.<br/>During his Jog-A-Thon adventure, Walter showed he is walker, not a runner. He loves to sniff, explore at a gentle pace, and soak in the world around him. He can get a little spooked on leash at first, but once settled, he enjoys his strolls. He takes treats gently, is learning “sit,” and seems to be potty trained.<br/>This sweet guy is underweight and could use some TLC (and extra treats). He’s also dealing with some tummy troubles likely related to shelter stress, staff and the vet team are already on it. He’s affectionate, gentle, not a barker at all, and truly has excellent manners.<br/> Walter is a quiet, loving companion just waiting for someone to give him the comfort and stability he deserves.
