Walter was found as a stray in NKY in September 2025.<br/><br/>🛋️ Certified snuggle bug<br/>Walter is 6 years old and is happiest when he’s right by your side. He loves to curl up next to you on the couch or at your feet and is perfectly content taking it easy most of the day. That said, he does have his moments of excitement — especially when you get home — and may surprise you with a few joyful zoomies before settling back in for cuddles. It’s the perfect balance of calm companion and happy, wiggly welcome-home committee. 💙<br/><br/>🐶 Dog friendly
While he’s not super into playing, he gets along well with basically every other dog. He loves to follow his dog friends around and snuggle up with them.<br/><br/>🐱 Cat friendly
Walter is very respectful of cats’s boundaries and shows no aggression. He gets curious and may want to play, but he does not chase them around the house.<br/><br/>🔔 Protective of his home
Walter will bark to alert when someone arrives and may seem protective at first, but he is not aggressive and becomes friendly once properly introduced.<br/><br/>👧 Best with older children<br/>Walter would do best in a home with older kids. When he gets excited—especially during greetings—he can be a bit jumpy and mouthy. It’s not aggression, just happy enthusiasm, but a home with children who understand dog boundaries and can help keep things calm will set him up for success.<br/><br/>💉 Fully vetted
Walter is freshly neutered, up to date on vaccines, on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, microchipped, and dewormed.<br/><br/>Now for the cons (because transparency matters):<br/><br/>🌸 Allergies
It’s common for white pitties to struggle with allergies, but Walter’s are manageable. He does best on a specific diet (no grains, chicken, and/or salmon) and regular baths. He’s currently on Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin & Stomach (Lamb & Oatmeal), which has been helping. Having Apoquel on hand for flare-ups would also be beneficial.
