Wally VI's Story

Wally VI is a sweet and gentle teenage male pup who is finally living his best life indoors!

He was found living in the woods behind the Oak Cliff Walmart, Wally was understandably shy and skittish around humans at first. But with lots of patience, love, and training, heâ€ÂTMs come so far — slowly learning to trust and embracing life indoors.

Wally is truly every-creature-friendly — dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, you name it! He loves playing with toys and tug-of-war (his absolute favorite), chasing sticks, and exploring the world around him. When heâ€ÂTMs not busy being goofy and playful, heâ€ÂTMs happily snoozing or cuddling up with his people.

He thrives when he has a confident dog friend to play and socialize with — having a furry buddy helps him feel secure and happy as he continues adjusting to his new life.

While Wally thrives on play and fun, he also values his space. Heâ€ÂTMd do best in a home with kids who understand how to respect a dogâ€ÂTMs boundaries and space. Heâ€ÂTMs come a long way in building trust, and with the right kind of patience and understanding, heâ€ÂTMll keep blooming into the confident, joyful pup heâ€ÂTMs shown to be.

Heâ€ÂTMs very food motivated, and sure loves his snacks! Heâ€ÂTMs crate trained, potty trained, and always hopeful youâ€ÂTMll share your last bite (heâ€ÂTMll pull out the full puppy eyes for it — and honestly, who could blame him?). Sharing snacks was one of the first ways he learned to trust, so mealtime still holds a special place in his heart.

Despite his rough start in life, he is a resilient, silly, and sweet and loving pup who is ready to bring endless joy and laughter to his forever family.

All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption.
