Wally's Story
This sweet boy is Wally. He came to our home a year ago as a foster after a horrible and rough puppyhood. He is just about two years old now and fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and HOUSE TRAINED! Wally will give silent barks or paw at the back door when he needs a potty break. He's weighing in around 50lbs.
He has more love to give than any foster I have ever had in my home. He will lay in your lap if you let him, but he's also happy to be alone in his crate with a bone.
Because he is a recovering trash can dog, he does have a little food aggression with other dogs, however, there are no guarding issues when people handle his food or get near him while he is eating. He will not bite the hands that feed him! :)
He has lived in my home with his foster sister, Sersha, who is a 125lb Cane Corso. They love each other and play together all of the time, but I do separate them for feeding. They will share a water bowl though.
Wally is AMAZING with my 5 year old. He will let her dress him in costumes, put makeup on him, paint his nails and snuggle with him. He would do great in a home with children but I also think he would make an excellent companion for a single person.
Because we have a large fenced in yard, we do not walk the dogs very often so Wally does need some leash training. He loves a walk, he's just a little unruly and wants to sniff everything. He's also a fan of car ides now and will ride around all day with you.
Wally has to have a fenced in yard. He wants to run at any opportunity and has bolted out the front door twice, and although he hasn't run away from us, he would if we weren't there to coax him into the car.
If anyone is interested in adopting this sweet boy, my family will sponsor $150 of the $350 adoption fee.
