Wally's Story
This guy was picked up as a stray. He had a gaping wound on his neck and he was not using his back leg. NHAR was called to help, and he went straight to the hospital. After examining, Dr. Samuelson said the wound was approximately 2 inches wide and 4 inches deep. I don’t think this was an accident. He was cleaned up, stitched up, and a drain tube was put in. I feel this scarred him as much physically as it did mentally. He spent a few days in the hospital and then was placed in a foster home. The wounds on his neck healed quickly but his limp did not go away... so back to the vet he went. A blood test was done and Wally tested positive for Lymes disease. He was placed on a course of antibiotics and is feeling much better!

Fast forward, he is now available for adoption…..
Wally is a very sweet pit bull mix that is approximately one year-old. When he came into his foster home after being injured, he was afraid of everything. Life has not been very kind to Wally in the past so he didn’t trust anybody. He’s got a great new beginning and it has been fun watching him come out of his shell. Wally does take a while to warm up to you. He has to feel he can trust you first. Once you win his trust, he is a sweet, sweet cuddle bug. Wally is building his confidence slowly. He now enjoys playing with the other dogs in the home. Loves to play with his toys and sleeps in bed with his foster mom. He has not had one accident in the house, he has never chewed on something he shouldn’t. Could you ask for a better dog? He’s also got this cute little nose that we are not sure what happened to it. Could’ve been a little frostbite, or he could’ve been born that way. We just don’t know, but it doesn’t affect him at all. Actually it makes him all that much cuter. The only thing you will notice from it is he snorts a little from time to time when he’s excited. Wally will need time to adjust to his new home and we will require a fenced yard to keep Wally safe. Whoever is lucky enough to get this boy will have to have patience with him. Things are still a little scary to him, but he has come so far! If you are interested in meeting Wally, please fill out an application. He is up-to-date on all vaccines, neutered, and microchipped.
Click the link below for an adoption application.

Noah's Hope Animal Rescue
Adoption application link
https://form.jotform.com/50308432400137
