Wallace (Wally)'s Story
I’m the kind of dog who will quietly steal your heart before you even realize it. I’m Wallace—most folks call me Wally—a 2 year old, 52 pound Yellow Lab/American Bulldog mix with movie-star looks and a true gentleman’s soul. I’m housebroken, crate trained, leash trained, and I ride like a pro in the car, always ready to tag along on walks or outings with my person. I get along just fine with other dogs, but if I’m being honest, I’d love to be your one and only. I really shine when I can soak up all of my human’s attention. I’m not the demanding type, though—I ask for love softly, with gentle eyes and quiet closeness. I’m very laid back, low energy, and more of a lover than a player. Toys and roughhousing are not really my thing and all I desire is calm companionship. I’m smart and currently working on my basic commands, and I do great with older children. If something interesting happens outside and the other dogs rush out the dog door to investigate, I might follow along just to check it out—but I’m usually the first one to head back in. I like knowing what’s going on, then returning to my peaceful routine. My foster family tells me I’m nearly a perfect dog, and I won’t argue. I mostly look like a Lab, I behave like a gentleman, and I love with my whole heart—quietly, steadily, and completely. If you’re looking for a beautiful, devoted companion who will walk beside you through life (and nap happily at your feet), I might just be your guy.

My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/ and fill out the form! We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. *Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out*

Don't forget to LIKE us on Facebook!-www.facebook.com/rescueonespringfield

*Remember, dogs are pack animals. Because of this, Rescue One does not adopt to outdoor-only homes. Pets are family and are not disposable.
