Meet WALLACE

Contact foster at kristen.koetter@yahoo.com Wallace is a laid back, low-maintenance kind of guy thats just looking for some affection. He is very content to just sit next to you and chill but I recommend you get him playing a little because his clumsy wiggles and funny facial expressions will keep you laughing. He is a perfect energy level for those looking for a companion who can hang out and be mellow but then will still get spunky to play or go for a walk House Trained: Goes to the bathroom quickly when you bring him out. Can be left alone in a room for extended periods and he is quiet and well-behaved especially if he has a comfy bed! Kid Friendly: Went on staycation with a family that has a 10 year old and they said he was great. They also said there were several other children between the ages of 6-10 that came over and even though they were loud and excited he still did well interacting with them Knows some commands: Sit, stay (short periods) and comes when you call his name. If you have some treats, he will also lay down for you Well-mannered: Does not jump, gentle taking treats, does not bother me when Im working all day at my desk, sits when you bring him his food, easy to bathe with hose Likes to play with toy! Plays fetch Generally easy to walk on leash: He mostly walks by your side with a loose leash and often checks in looking up at you. The only time he pulls is when he gets excited when he sees another dog. He is strong but I use a front clip harness and with that I can control and direct him if he starts pulling Very easy to get in the car and is calm and content. He will just sit and look out the window or sometimes will stick his head (and 1 paw) out the window but he doesnt move around much and is very well behaved Probably best in a single-dog home unless its an experienced dog owner who will work through a very slow intro into the new home. Wallace is very loud when he sees new dogs. We walk him with our 2 resident dogs and have done walks with two other foster dogs that we had. It takes a couple walks until he stops reacting to them and then he does well.. We find treats are useful in redirecting his attention when he first sees new dogs Not cat friendly
