Walker's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.ADOPTION PENDINGThe first thing you’ll notice about Walker is his sweet face and how he loves to head butt you and have his ears scratched. The next thing you’ll notice is how he rolls over and wants his tummy rubbed. Only after that will you realize that he’s missing a leg. Walker gets around just fine as a tripod. He can do steps, go in and out the doggie door in his foster home, and even jump up on the couch. It doesn’t slow him down one bit. He is fully house trained, gets along great with other dogs and people, and rarely barks. He only gets into a little mischief around the house and once grabbed a book off the coffee table and brought it down to his doggie bed to snuggle with it. I mean who doesn’t like to settle in with a good book from time to time? Walker has been sleeping in a doggie bed right next to his foster mom at night and sleeps through the night and on into the morning sometimes too. He loves romping around the backyard in his foster home, and he loves walks as well, but could use a little more leash training. He was picked up as a stray in Mississippi, so no one really knows what’s happened to him, but thanks to SEBR, we got this precious little boy fixed up and he’s got a new lease on life. He's just been neutered and had the unrepairable leg amputated and will be treated for heartworms the first week of December.
