Vog's Story

This is Vog, and we think his name is German.
"Vog" is derived from the Middle Low German word "voge," meaning "skillful" or "small," and is often used as a nickname. That describes Vog very well!

He is very smart, social & would do better in a home with other small dogs. He is about 4-5 years old, & he came from a hoarding situation. He has done great at his foster home, which has several other small dogs.
His first home he went to as a single dog, he struggled. He did not do well as the only dog in a home. He needs to be around other confident dogs. He is a follower and likes to be in a pack. Its what he has known his whole life.
- Fenced in yard. The adopters didn't have a fenced yard, but he doesn't like to go out on a leash. He is skiddish and will run and avoid. Some people have struggled taking him outside. He is house broken if taken out enough, he is pee pad trained. With other dogs around, he will follow them

-He is skiddish around men.
- He probably isn't the best dog for the elderly. He is quick and especially if scared, he wouldnt be easy to catch if he wanted to run and escape.

Yes, these behaviors can change over time, and the right home will give him time to trust and come out of his shell.
