Vixen's Story

Vixen is a young, playful mixed-breed girl who was rescued just in the nick of time right before the holidays. She weighs about 35 pounds and appears to be fully grown. Vixen is currently heartworm positive and undergoing treatment, but all medical expenses are fully covered by BCAA; she will simply need a committed adopter willing to see her through the remainder of her care. In her foster home, Vixen has shown herself to be a sweet, attention-loving pup who enjoys playing with toys, romping with her foster sisters, soaking up cuddles, and—of course—earning treats. She has a medium energy level, balancing playful bursts with plenty of downtime, and is just as happy curling up next to you as she is playing. If her future home has another dog, it would be best if that dog enjoys playtime as much as she does. Vixen has been doing well with potty training and has handled meeting new people and other dogs nicely. She has not yet been around cats. She has an adorable, spunky personality and does a little hop with her front paws when she gets excited. While she doesn't love being crated, she will willingly go in with a treat, may protest briefly, then settles and behaves well without destroying anything. Vixen is a lovable, expressive girl who will make a wonderful companion for the right home willing to give her the care and love she deserves. Bcaaofnj.org
