Vivian Vance's Story

Vivian was found on Sunday afternoon wandering in the area of Danny Thomas and Vance Avenue. After talking to many people in the area, she seems to have just turned up on Sunday with nobody having seen her wandering throughout the week and no reports of puppies seen.

After getting her checked out and determining she is no longer pregnant, bringing her back to the area to look for her puppies and mounting searches all evening Sunday, as well as information from people in the area, we have concluded that she was likely dumped in the area she was found and her puppies are no longer with her. This is unfortunately one of the sad realities of rescue, but all we can do at this point is make sure Vivian V is safe, healthy, and taken care of.

Vivian has been assessed by our vet to be around 2.5-3 years old, heartworm positive, a little sunburned, and very malnourished. She will stay there for the foreseeable future until we can get her healthy enough for a foster.

Check out #sdfVivianVance on Facebook or Instagram or streetdogfoundation.com/pup-profiles/vivian-vance for more information and pictures!

*Behaviors not listed have yet to be tested.
