Vivian's Story

Vivian is a 8 yo, 43lb spayed tan cur mix. She is heartworm negative and originally came into ACAR on 6/29/26 as an injured stray. She was very fearful on intake, and almost immediately was started on anxiety medication to mitigate fear, anxiety, and stress. During her medical exam, she was also found to have a partial tear of her right cruciate ligament and was started on anti-inflammatories. Vivian is very sweet when comfortable, but can be defensive and fearful with quick movements and novelty, particularly where her affected leg is concerned. She enjoys the company of other gentle dogs and appears potty trained. Vivian is in need of 501c3 rescue transfer or an experienced adopter to address her behavioral and medical needs. If you are interested in Vivian, please contact kfehl@alachuacounty.gov for more information.
