Violet's Story

Meet Violet! Violet may be blind and deaf, but don’t let that fool you ~ this girl is still living her best adventurous life.

Found as a stray, Violet took to the skies on a volunteer flight to freedom at Miri's Haven. She loves strolling the yard, barking politely for pats, and if fried chicken enters the house, she will locate it with shocking accuracy.

Violet may be adorable, but she has standards: soft beds are required, fluffy blankets are mandatory, and rolling around in said blankets is a daily ritual. She is mostly house trained when kept on a schedule and taken out regularly, and she's looking for a home without stairs. Or with a human servant prepared to carry her up and down like the Beagle Queen she is - either will do.

Violet would love a home with a fenced in yard so she can do all the sniffing her heart desires. She rides well in the car and does not get anxious when left home on her own. She loves pets and attention.

Violet has one eye and is blind in that eye, due to glaucoma, so she will need daily eye drops. She also has had chronic ear infections which causes a closing of the ear canals. As a result, she's also fairly deaf.

Violet is just a sweet old soul with a gentle heart and a nose that absolutely works overtime. She is so ready to bring her cozy, loving energy into a forever home...could it be yours?

Violet is approximately 12 years old and 20 lbs.
Fostered in Severn, MD
Please apply at MirisHaven.org
